Israel's New Ministry Created for Propaganda PDF Print E-mail

Fars News Agency

5 December 2006

TEHRAN - Chairman of Iranian parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy blasted the Israeli regime for forming a new ministry to work against Iran's nuclear capabilities, stressing that the measure is meant to serve as a propaganda.

"The measure is aimed at frightening the world community with concern and fear from Iran's nuclear activities," Alaoddin Boroujerdi pointed out while speaking to reporters on the sidelines of an open session of the Islamic Consultative Assembly here on Tuesday.

"The news about establishment of such a ministry is aimed at portraying Zionists' concern but about something which, logically speaking, does not exist at all," he said sarcastically.
Reminding that Iran is a signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and has always acted within the international rules and regulations, the lawmaker stressed that the measure adopted by the Zionist regime is merely viewed as an act of propaganda.

Asked about the construction of man made islands by the United Arab Emirates in the Persian Gulf, he said that his commission is working on the issue and that President Ahmadinejad as the head of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) will soon be informed of the environmental hazards of the measure in full details.

The legislative official said before adopting any further measures in this ground, the parliament is now waiting for Ahmadinejad's instructions to the SNSC and its secretariat.
